The Bus Person is responsible for offering guests an enjoyable dining experience reflecting the high customer service standards of Shady Canyon Golf Club. The Bus Person assists food servers with guest orders and ensures all restaurant tables are presentable with clean china, glassware, silverware and linen. They must be able to anticipate guests' needs and provide service before being asked. A Bus Person must maintain a professional appearance and friendly attitude toward guests, other employees and management staff.

Assists servers in their set-up, service and clean-up tasks.
Serves water, bread and butter as guests are seated.
Assists in carrying food to tables.
Cleans dining room areas.
Stocks servers' station with supplies before and after meal period.
Collects trash from dining room, grill and other specified places after each serving period.
Keeps ice bins and buckets filled.
Cleans and stores child high chairs and booster seats.
Collects soiled linen from dining room; Assists Food & Beverage Manager and other employees in assuring that the club's policies and procedures for serving alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
May assist banquet personnel in setting up, serving and cleaning up after banquet functions.
Attends pre-service training (line-up meeting).
Re-sets tables at end of shift for the next meal period.
Assists with banquet and buffet setup.
Helps to maintain a fully stocked buffet.

Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspect, service techniques, and guest interaction.
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with members and employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and to resolve problems.
A minimum of 2 years previous Food & Beverage experience at a fine dining establishment
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
