Job OpportunityThe largest privately-held commercial bank in the Pacific Northwest is seeking an experienced external loan officer for its Home Loan Division (HLD). This role is based in the Greater Seattle: Tacoma area and requires a can-do attitude, collaborative approach, and unwavering integrity. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan officer and should be able to source their own business through professional relationships, realtor referrals, repeat clients, and other compliant means.Essential Functions:Establishes and develops relationships with real estate agents for mortgage customer referrals.Completes loan applications and acts as a liaison between customers and HLD.Represents the bank to real estate companies and potential mortgage customers.Pre-qualifies self-employed borrowers and analyzes financial records.Manages the loan file from application through closing.Promotes the bank and ensures timely customer communication.Maintains regular contact with offices and real estate agents.Builds working relationships with HLD support staff.Cross-sells bank products and services.Meets production goals and reports to management.Performs compliance and risk management duties.Ensures regular, reliable attendance.Requirements:Collect applicable fees from borrowers.Knowledge of real estate and mortgage banking industry.Understanding of Truth-in-Lending and compliance with government regulations.Knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and construction loan policies.Obtain a Mortgage Loan Originator registration number.Work independently and manage multiple projects.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficient in PC and Bank software.Ability to work additional hours as needed.Pay Range: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour plus monthly gross commissions. Target starting wage is $25.00 per hour as a non-recoverable draw against monthly commissions.
