Prep Cook

The Prep Cook performs routine kitchen tasks, such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes. Skill in following instructions and adhering to all kitchen health and safety rules is crucial. Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan tasks.

• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
• Perform basic cooking tasks, such as reducing sauces, blanching foods, etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out the trash, etc.
• Ensure all foods and other items are stored properly.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other kitchen tasks as assigned.

Knowledge of kitchen health and safety rules.

• Manual dexterity to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils.
• Enjoy working in a team, effective communication, and understanding that the entire restaurant is your responsibility, not just your designated area.
