Job Title: Procurement Manager

Sourcing and procurement specialist for Large Molecule. Must have experience in procurement, RFX, costing of biologics raw material, consumables & media/resin on a commercial scale, and AVD-Alternate Vendor Development.

Develop and execute procurement category management strategies for Biologics operating unit which includes material of all categories (Raw Material, Media/Resin, Single use consumables, etc.) Manage strategic sourcing activities related to IT and capital equipment (CAPEX) procurement.

Handle end-to-end procurement for IT infrastructure (networking, servers, software licenses), lab equipment, and machinery.

Lead sourcing activities for IT, lab equipment, and CAPEX procurement including end-to-end RFQ to PO and contract finalization.

PR to PO, follow-up with suppliers for delivery of materials.

Managing all F&B operations within the Area of responsibility assigned.

Expert in developing AVD in compliance with CGMP practises, fair understanding of manage and create costing of materials (BOM - Bill of Materials).

Work closely with site Supply Chain team to ensure support for site manufacturing process.

Lead teams for early purchasing involvement through supplier selection process including capabilities assessment, technical evaluation, and cost/price analysis.

Actively pursue cost reduction opportunities in accordance with overall procurement strategies.

Partner with Quality Department on qualification of suppliers as required.

Works with other sites and leaders to optimize processes and procedures.

Other projects as required or directed by Global Supply Chain Dept.

Manage the Supplier life cycle including supplier selection, assessment, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure optimization and better performance of Suppliers.

Facilitate contract process with end users and Legal Department, including negotiation of contracts with site suppliers as needed.

Managing internal and external customers with regular MIS, communication, and meetings. 100% accountable for meeting Customer QUOTIFs and ensuring timely delivery of all materials of the right quality.

Implement the supply chain strategies by development of Global suppliers including India. Identifying supplier risk areas and quantifying risk exposure and executing risk mitigation actions.

Identify, develop and Qualify 2nd source from India of all key raw materials, preferably for repeat campaigns as part of business continuity plan (BCP).

Undertake performance evaluation of vendors to improve product, cost, Quality and delivery performance.

Follow approved vendor list (AVL) for procurement and subcontract activities.

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or relevant field required, or sufficient professional experience

8-10 years of demonstrated Procurement responsibilities with understanding of global sourcing and procurement structure.

Prior pharmaceutical experience preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

SAP Experience preferred
