Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our fast-paced and dynamic Dental team! The ideal candidate will provide preventive and therapeutic oral care, educate patients on oral hygiene, and work closely with dentists and assistants to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

Applicants claiming Indian Preference must complete the full application and must provide documentation verifying eligibility (such as a tribal enrollment card or Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB)).

Performs prophylactic dental treatment, including dental hygiene and treatment for periodontal disease as prescribed by the dentist.

Instructs patients in oral therapy, toothbrush procedures, and proper diet and nutrition related to oral health.

Provides oral health education and organizes dental prevention activities for clinic patients and community groups.

Cleans and removes calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath the margins of gums with hand and mechanical instruments.

Applies fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay.

Exposes, develops, mounts, and files x-ray film.

Makes impressions for study casts and administers local anesthetic agents and nitrous oxide.

May function as a dental assistant as needed.

Qualifications Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, medical marijuana license holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for this position.

Associates' or Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited school required

Current Oklahoma Dental Hygienist license and in good standing with the Oklahoma State Dental Board

2+ years of Dental Hygiene experience
