The Antenna Systems Department is engaged in modeling & simulation along with prototyping & testbed development. The range of work includes CubeSat antenna systems, ground station support, spacecraft antenna design & modeling, construction of prototypes and pattern measurements in our anechoic chambers. We help our government customers execute missions of national interest and define future missions. We work closely with our colleagues to develop software defined radio (SDR) communication systems (transmitter & receivers), and RF systems in support of prototyping and customer developments.

We are looking for a Senior Antenna Systems Engineer (Engineering Specialist or Senior Engineering Specialist)

This is a full-time, on-site position based in El Segundo, CA.

What You’ll Be Doing Join the Antenna Systems Department as an experienced staff member who works both independently and as a leader of project teams

Solve technical problems in the areas of communications, signals collection, and remote sensing

Engage our customers with impact to solve our hardest problems

Operate strategically by supporting our DoD and Intelligence Community customers

What You Need to be Successful - Engineering Specialist Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a relevant technical discipline

8 or more years of related experience in Antenna/RF System design, analysis and testing

Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance

Proficiency with a variety of analysis tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, HFSS, Feko, CST, and/or GRASP

Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% of the time

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for Senior Engineering Specialist: 12 or more years of related experience in Antenna/RF System design, analysis, and testing

Demonstrated experience leading development projects and mentoring junior staff

Proven ability to architect and implement antenna and RF and antenna system solutions with real-world performance requirements

Proficiency in scientific programming using languages such as C, C++, MATLAB, Python

Experience leading projects related to antenna systems, radar systems, SIGINT processing, communication systems, and hardware prototyping
