Job Summary:

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Memphis, Tennessee. This role involves providing quality patient care by following established nursing care plans, supervising licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants, and actively participating in patient assessments and education. The RN will contribute to a safe and supportive environment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications: Active nursing license in the state of Tennessee; BLS certification; ACLS certification (preferred for CIRH only); at least two (2) years of bedside clinical experience; recent ICU experience (highly desired)

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU); additional certifications as appropriate

Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans. Documents all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support patient education, discharge planning, and safety initiatives. Supervises and provides guidance to ancillary nursing staff, participating in team-building activities to promote a positive work environment. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities following orientation.
