Job Description:

• Be a crucial part of our Bronchoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) procedures.

- Your vital role includes:

• Monitoring patients and recognizing changes in their physiological and psychological status during procedures
• Recovering patients post-sedation and ensuring their safety and comfort
• Utilizing your knowledge of potential post-procedure complications and discharge criteria
• Providing clear and concise follow-up instructions to patients upon discharge

- Showcase your nursing skills and judgment by:

• Implementing care plans and resolving individual patient issues
• Understanding and interpreting diagnostic measures such as lab tests, radiology exams, and EKGs
• Demonstrating expertise in equipment and supplies for procedures while practicing infection control techniques

- Essential Functions:

• Ensure all equipment for GI procedures is meticulously set up
• Assist physicians and advanced providers during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Follow hospital policies for Minimal/Moderate sedation with thorough pre and post assessments
• Identify common patient problems and behavioral changes using standards of care

Qualifications:
- Required:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent
• Associate Degree (A.A. or A.S.)
• One year of GI experience
• Current RN license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications

- Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
