Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours

Shift Information: 1900-0700
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend or fewer as needed – Fri/Sat/Sun
Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
Floating Requirements: Yes - PICU, NICU, Gen Peds – will float as needed

• Congenital Cardiology ranked #7 by USNWR
• Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Unit Information:
Unit broken into two sides that mirror one another with 10 beds on each side. Nurses station is centralized in the middle, with the most critical patients being placed behind the nurses station
Required Experience: 2 years Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience in a similar facility for acuity
Very high acuity patient population – ages 0-18 years old
Patients with congenital heart differences that have undergone surgery, medical management of pre-transplant and post-transplant, s/p cath lab, ventricular assistive devices, ECMO, Impella, Dialysis, Aquadex (Renal Replacement Therapy)
RN : Varies on acuity: 2:1, 1:1, 1:2
CNA : none - 1 NA per day to support unit secretary duties and nursing support needs throughout the shift
Aquadex (renal replacement therapy), Impella, ECMO
EPIC experience
CNA: Duties: 1 Health Care tech per day to support unit secretary duties and nursing support needs throughout the shift (runners, bathing, etc.)
Unit Secretary every shift
Charge nurse – free floating
Phlebotomy – in house but not utilized as majority of patients will have central lines
Resource Nurse – free floating
Cardiologist, 24/7
Intensivist, 24/7
Telemetry monitoring Tech: No
Centralized and bedside monitoring
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC - required

Orientation (facility and unit):
~ Weekend rotation: every other weekend or fewer as needed – Fri/Sat/Sun
