Warehouse Team MemberThe Warehouse Team Member is in charge of ensuring high-quality distribution of food products by safely and effectively receiving products to meet the needs of our customers.Role and ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload products from the trucksReview products for damage before shipmentsSort and place materials and items according to organizational standardsLabel products and store them in an organized mannerCommunicate efficiently with supervisors and teammatesEnsure a clean, neat, and organized work area by maintaining company sanitation and food safety standards.Operate a forklift or hydraulic jack lift to move boxes.Work to solve inventory variances and trace-and-track issues.Follow all rules / guidelines / GMP's. (Good Manufacturing Practices)Performs other duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.RequirementsPreferred Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED1+ years' experience with loading and unloading trucks1+ years' experience of inventory controlPrevious forklift experienceAble to operate a variety of forklifts. Forklift certification is preferred.Knowledge of GMPs, SPC, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations.Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Skill RequirementsCandidates should be self-starters with a strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize their workload to ensure timely issue resolution. Understand the people and departments and support team decisions.Work Environment and Physical RequirementsThe work environment is a cold production setting with concrete floors. This position requires the team member to:Stand in cold temperatures (38 degrees) for seven (7) or more hours in a dayHandle cold and wet product throughout the dayAble to lift 50 lbs. several times a day and occasionally 70 lbs.Visually identify and evaluate productAble to see at a distance for driving, able to hear bells and horns for anticipating oncoming forklift traffic.May work in aisles or narrow passagewaysFood SafetyKilcoy has adopted the SQF System for food safety management and is under continuous USDA meat & poultry jurisdiction.
