Direct Care Support Professional / Flexible Weekend hours

In this role you will be responsible for providing direct care supervision and support to participants during daily program activities ensuring engagement choice and dignity at all times. supporting skill development in areas such as social interaction personal hygiene and motor coordination; and implementing individualized training plans using approved techniques and interventions. DSPs collaborate closely with team members encourage positive behavioral supports accompany participants on community outings and provide transportation when assigned. Additional duties include personal care support maintaining equipment and supplies completing accurate and timely documentation identifying program needs and solutions participating in trainings and meetings supporting volunteers and interns and ensuring full compliance with all safety HIPAA and agency policies.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED; one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Related college coursework disability-specific training medical training (such as a CNA license) or a combination of education and experience may substitute for the preferred experience. Strong interpersonal skills the ability to implement individualized plans and a commitment to positive behavioral supports are essential. Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS)
