Flexible Shift, On-calls and weekends may be required.****Work Location:** **University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Cardiovascular Imaging UTower**## **CORE JOB FUNCTIONS*** Retrieves medical records, laboratory results, supplies, and medications.* Notifies nursing staff when patient is leaving the unit and when patient returns back to the unit.* Ensures that patient’s chart is alongside when being transported.* Assures all transports are completed within the assigned time parameters.* Checks all oxygen cylinders prior to transport to assure tanks are full and are in safe condition.* Checks accurately in and out of the patient transport system.* Gathers, cleans, and disinfects patient care equipment and all other reusable items.* Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.***CORE QUALIFICATIONS****Education:**High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license**Certification and Licensing:**Refer to department description for applicable certification requirements**Experience:**No previous experience required**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Learning Agility: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.* The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission and more.UHealth-University of Miami Health System, South Florida's only university-based health system, provides leading-edge patient care powered by the ground breaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
