RN - Registered Nurse / Graduate Nurse -Medical Care

Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Intermediate Care Unit (MIMCU). The unit has 6-18 beds and delivers care on a 1:4 patient‑to‑nurse ratio. RNs will encounter cases including respiratory failure, sepsis, COVID, psychological disorders, drug overdoses, surgical care, diabetes, and more. The unit offers experience for nurses wishing to care for patients transitioning from the Medical Intensive Care Unit or Emergency Department.

Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, promotes evidence‑based practice, and exemplifies professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.

Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence‑based practice; collaborates with patient and family to develop and implement a care plan that includes physical, spiritual, and educational components.

Documents accurately and completely assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures, and/or guidelines.

Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate.

Graduate from a school of nursing.

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.

For casual RNs, 2 years of experience is required.

All new graduate nurses with less than 1 year of clinical experience will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
