RN Medsurg Nights and Weekends Only

Registered Nurse (RN) - Stroke and Med-Surg Unit
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night Shift: 3x12 Hour (18:45 - 07:15), with weekend coverage every other weekend. Float is required, and staff may be floated to other units based on need and skill set.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our inpatient unit focused on stroke and TIA patients, as well as higher acuity med-surg patients. The RN will play a crucial role in enhancing patient experience and providing high-quality care to adults and geriatrics. This unit is equipped to perform specialized procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.
Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to patients with various diagnoses including stroke/TIA, seizures, chest pain, and respiratory failure.
Administer medications and manage IV therapies using the Omnicell medication system.
Monitor patient vitals and responses to treatments, making necessary adjustments as per protocols.
Perform specialized procedures such as blood product administration, colostomy/ileostomy management, and continuous bladder irrigation.
Maintain accurate patient records utilizing EPIC charting system and participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Must have an active Tennessee RN license.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of EPIC experience.
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
Previous charge experience preferred.
