Head of Operations & Business Management

A growing consumer products distribution operation is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily warehouse and fulfillment activities within a fast-paced distribution environment. This individual will be responsible for driving productivity, supporting employee development, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring operational goals are achieved.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader with experience supervising warehouse teams and managing workflow in a high-volume logistics setting.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

Lead daily activities within assigned warehouse functions to ensure efficient execution of inbound, outbound, and inventory-related processes.

Provide direction, coaching, and support to hourly employees and team leads.

Monitor productivity, quality, attendance, and performance standards.

Adjust labor allocation and staffing levels to meet changing business demands.

Promote accountability and maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, quality, and workflow execution.

Utilize warehouse management systems and operational reporting tools to monitor performance.

Track departmental metrics and communicate results to site leadership.

Support implementation of process enhancements and best practices.

Training & Development

Onboard and train new employees.

Cross-train team members to improve flexibility and operational coverage.

Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.

Help build bench strength for future leadership needs.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce workplace safety standards and operating procedures.

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Encourage a culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Additional Responsibilities

Adapt to changing business priorities and operational requirements.

Support special projects and site initiatives as needed.

Maintain focus on service, productivity, and operational excellence.

Qualification

Experience

eHigh school diploma or equivalent required

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of supervisory experience within distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics operations
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred

Skill

sStrong leadership and employee engagement capabilities

• Excellent communication and team-building skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Ability to analyze operational data and make informed decisions
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Physical & Schedule Requirement

sFlexibility to work extended hours and overtime when business demands require

• Ability to work various shifts as needed
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job functions
