Amazon Locker

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. The Infrastructure Delivery team is looking for a Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. The Infrastructure Delivery Manager manages the implementation and delivery of inbound capacity and equipment.

If you would like to use people skills and technical knowledge and apply them to delivering on-time, defect-free service, we'd like to meet you. Your work will help to create sustainable processes and standards; and drive automation opportunities to reduce delivery cycle times and to improve quality without impacting network availability.

The Infra Delivery Manager will:

  • t• Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, project management, coaching and creating documentation.
  • t• Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages
  • t• Manage the installation network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment
  • t• Guide, train and educate staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues
  • t• Manage tasks and deliverables across small to large-size projects
  • t• Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
  • t• Provide weekly report to the data center manager
  • t• Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, to include emergency projects, change management and maintenance window support, and potential off-hours and on-call needs.
  • t• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
  • t• Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements

The Infra Delivery Manager

  • t• Manage the daily operations for installing and delivering network equipment and related infrastructures; driving low voltage structured cabling across the Amazon data center platform
  • t• Installing and delivering our network equipment and related infrastructures to improve effectiveness through process innovation
