Emergency Dispatcher - FULL TIME!

Receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency requests for ground and air ambulance responses. Direct inbound and outbound telephone calls to appropriate departments, internal and external.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist ground and/or air resources for emergency and non-emergency responses.

Coordinate first responder notification of fire departments and other agencies as required.

Receive and keypunch requests for ground and air response.

Document daily activity.

Train new Communication Center employees as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED.

National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (preferred); as determined by appropriate state requirements; but not always necessary depending on experience, etc.

Must have a sense of urgency for all work performed.
