Dallas, TX | Pay Rate: $26.94/hour | Schedule: 2nd Shift (4pm - 2:40am)
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to her a Cabinet Make r who can bring their craftsmanship to new heights. You'll contribute to the creation of world-class aircraft interiors, working alongside industry experts to build precision-crafted furniture and wood-surfaced components that take flight across the globe. Under general supervision, the Cabinet Maker fabricates aircraft furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using aircraft specifications, design, and engineering drawings with a high level of safety, quality, detail, and productivity. Assists team members with greater experience to enhance techniques supportive of quality workmanship.
Works under general supervision to fabricate furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints, aircraft specifications, and design/engineering drawings
Applies exterior surface materials such as laminates, veneers, and cap strips
Uses various types of stationary and hand-held power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture
Complies with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies
Uses personal protective equipment to protect aircraft interior
Uses the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work
Works with leads and higher-skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements that increase safety and reduce cost, cycle time, and man-hours using Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement techniques

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small or restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift
Must be computer literate
Two (2) years or more of experience in cabinetmaking, woodwork, plastic laminate, or millwork
High School Diploma or GED required
Aerospace industry experience preferred
Working knowledge of client inspection and process specifications preferred

Pay Details: $26.94 per hour
