Estimator/contractor

We are partnered with a well-established, full-service general contractor seeking a Construction Estimator to join their growing team. This company operates across multiple markets including commercial, government, hospitality, healthcare, education, heavy infrastructure, and marine..
The Estimator will serve as the lead estimator, supported by an estimating assistant, and will be responsible for managing competitive bids across vertical and flatwork scopes. Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for a wide variety of construction projects
Perform quantity take-offs, square-foot estimating, and comprehensive cost analysis
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentation
Manage an estimated 1-3 bids per month with typical project sizes ranging from $3M-$30M
Utilize BuildingConnected and RSMeans as primary estimating and bidding platforms
Research subcontractor pricing, market conditions, and industry trends
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align estimates with project requirements
Support contract negotiations with well-documented cost data

Strong knowledge of construction systems, materials, and methods
Proficiency in quantity take-offs, square-foot estimating, and cost analysis
Familiarity with accounting principles, project management practices, and construction contracts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or equivalent credential preferred
