Smoky Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and motivated Dietary Cook to join our Food & Nutrition Services team.

What You'll Do As a Dietary Cook , you'll prepare nutritious and appetizing meals while helping create an enjoyable dining experience for our residents.

Responsibilities Include: Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and resident dietary needs

Prepare regular and specialized diets as directed

Ensure meals are properly portioned, presented, and served on time

Follow food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and regulatory guidelines

Monitor and document food temperatures as required

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area

Assist with food preparation, inventory, and stock rotation

Receive, organize, and properly store food and supplies

Assist with maintaining adequate food and kitchen supplies

Work collaboratively with Dietary, Nursing, and other facility team members

Help provide residents with a positive and enjoyable dining experience

What We're Looking For Previous cook, kitchen, restaurant, hospitality, catering, healthcare, or institutional food service experience preferred

Knowledge of basic food preparation, food safety, and sanitation practices

ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain if required

Dependable with strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the position

Schedule Full-Time
