Job Description
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to neonates in a fast-paced, critical care environment.
Position Information:
Role: RN

Shift: Nights, 3x12 (1900-0700)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Weekend Hours: As required by facility, every other weekend
Call Requirements: No call required
Qualifications:
Required Licensure: Current RN License, eligible for licensure in the state
Required Certifications: BLS, NRP
Preferred Certifications: TNCC, PALS
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
Preferred Experience: 2 years in a NICU level 3 or higher
Vent Competency: Required
Float Requirements: May be required to work in NICU, PICU, or Postpartum based on patient volumes
Unit Information:
Number of Beds: 46
Patient Ratios: Not guaranteed; typically 1:3 based on acuity

EMR: EPIC

Job Responsibilities:
As an RN in the NICU, you will:
Provide direct patient care activities for neonates, ensuring comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to enhance patient comfort and outcomes.
Function within the scope of nursing practice as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act.
Adhere to established guidelines and standards of practice while upholding the mission and values of the healthcare organization.
