Mobile Crisis Mental Health Clinician (Licensed Responder)
Liberty Resources is seeking a motivated Mobile Crisis Mental Health Clinician (Licensed Responder) in Onondaga County to join our team.

The Mobile Crisis Team is a trained multidisciplinary response team that provides crisis intervention services in a variety of settings including community locations where individuals live, work, attend school, engage in services, or socialize. Mobile Crisis intervention services are designed to interrupt and ameliorate the crisis experience and include: an assessment that is culturally and linguistically competent, the development of crisis diversion plans, safety plans or relapse prevention plans, support during and after a crisis and coordination with, and referrals to, health, social, and other services and supports as needed, including peer/family support services. The Mobile Crisis Team strives to build strong relationships and a successful reputation in providing efficient and quality crisis services within a five-county region. We serve Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga and Oswego counties.
Mobile Crisis Clinician/Licensed Responder Position Summary
The Mobile Crisis Clinician will work alongside Mobile Crisis Specialists and Peers and is primarily responsible for conducting clinical assessments and providing crisis intervention services. The Licensed Clinician/Licensed Responder will respond to individuals in crisis telephonically or in-person, or via telehealth as needed. This is a per diem position with flexible scheduling options. Available shifts are as follows:
Weekdays, 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Weekends and holidays, 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM
Weekday evenings, 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Weekends and holidays, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Overnights, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Weekday daytime coverage as needed
Mobile Crisis Clinician/Licensed Responder Job Responsibilities
Provide psychotherapy and psychosocial rehabilitation counseling services to remediate psychiatric or substance use symptoms, resolve conflict, deescalate crises, monitor for and address high-risk behaviors, maintain stabilization following a crisis episode, and prevent escalation of behavioral health symptoms.
Make treatment recommendations and referrals to other behavioral health services as clinically indicated.
Maintains confidentiality and adheres to ethical and legal standards.
Situations may evolve rapidly and involve collaboration with emergency services, families, or multi-agency partners.
The position requires a flexible 40-hour schedule, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Staff are required to travel to locations not controlled or maintained by the agency, including private homes, shelters, public spaces, or outdoor environments. Mobile Crisis Clinician/Licensed Responder Qualifications
LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Licensed Behavioral Analyst, Physician, including Psychiatrist and Addictionologist/Addiction Specialist, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychoanalyst, Occupational Therapist who meets the qualifications set forth in 42 C.Two (2) years of post-graduate mental health experience, including relevant experience providing crisis intervention support, transitional support, and care coordination.
Must be willing to participate in all required federal, state, county and agency training including Narcan administration, evidence-based assessments, person-centered and trauma-informed approaches.

32.15 per on-call shift (which equates to $225 for one week and provides advanced compensation for telephonic crisis response)
- Additional $100 per on-call shift on an agency observed holiday
