Dispatcher I

AIT is seeking a Dispatcher I! We are flexible on start time, if needed along with extra hours to be earned on the weekends, if applicable.

The Dispatcher I is responsible for overseeing and documenting the pickup and delivery of local shipments, as well as coordinating and communicating shipment information between drivers and delivery agents.

Responsible for routing local freight, dispatching drivers, performing dock checks, tracking shipments, working with dock staff members to ensure movement of freight.

Timely event data entry of shipment milestones into MyAIT & AS400 tracking system pickup, delivery, obtain proof of delivery.

Provide customer service to identify and meet specific customer needs. Answer/make customer inquiry calls and address customer concerns/complaints.

Assign driver load planning based on local mapping & appointments accordingly.

Identifying and coordinating the prioritization of rushed/urgent/last minute shipments.

Customer service focus we serve a wide variety of customers, both internal and external, and building relationships is a part of our culture

High School Diploma/GED equivalency required; 0-3 years in Freight Forwarding industry experience preferred and/or industry experience in customer service/operations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Previous Experience working with AS400 preferred.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills with customers, drivers, and co-workerscommunication is key!
