Head of Project Management (Construction)

Freshwater Development is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Northern Michigan, responsible for managing luxury residential and mixed-use developments from preconstruction through project completion.
The Project Manager will oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, consultant coordination, permitting, procurement, construction administration, and client communication. Working closely with ownership, architects, engineers, and field staff, this role is responsible for delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to Freshwater's uncompromising quality standards.

Manage projects from due diligence and preconstruction through construction and closeout.
Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, contracts, and procurement plans.
Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, municipalities, subcontractors, and vendors.
Monitor project costs, change orders, cash flow, and overall financial performance.
Collaborate with the Field Superintendent to ensure quality, schedule, and safety objectives are achieved.
Lead project meetings and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and project stakeholders.

5+ years of experience in construction or real estate project management.

• Experience managing luxury residential, mixed-use, commercial, or hospitality developments preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate Development, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work full-time on-site and travel between project locations throughout Northern Michigan.
