Attorney - associate - law

A boutique litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing practice. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, excellent legal writing abilities, and an interest in handling sophisticated shareholder and corporate disputes. This role offers significant hands-on responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work on high-profile matters from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

Draft complaints, motions, briefs, and other legal pleadings.

Conduct legal research, analysis, and case evaluations.

Propound and respond to written discovery.

Take and defend depositions.

Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and court hearings.

Assist with case strategy, litigation planning, and trial preparation.

Work closely with clients, experts, and opposing counsel throughout all stages of litigation.

Engage in client development, networking, and business development initiatives.

Identify and evaluate potential claims and develop new case opportunities.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the applicable state bar.

2+ years of litigation experience preferred.

Experience handling complex commercial, shareholder, securities, or business litigation matters is a plus.

Strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.

Experience managing discovery, depositions, and court appearances.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in business development and practice growth.
