Position Overview Department: Respiratory Therapy

Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East

Schedule: Full Time Nights, 7p-7a, Every 3rd weekend, PRN available

Key Responsibilities Evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory issues.

Assess treatment needs, develop and implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and operate respiratory equipment.

Evaluate treatment effectiveness, administer medications, and perform advanced respiratory procedures.

Educate patients and families on health conditions and community resources.

Maintain and calibrate equipment, manage supplies, and ensure proper sterilization.

Respond to emergency resuscitation calls.

Qualifications Licensed Respiratory Therapist credential from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy.

Certified Respiratory Therapist from the NBRC.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
