PHLEBOTOMIST - Weekend Shift

Phlebotomist

This phlebotomist role supports the San Antonio area, providing high-quality blood collection services in a clinical or hospital setting. The position requires strong venipuncture skills using straight needles, excellent customer service, and the ability to adapt to different sites and workflows while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and compassion with every patient encounter.

Perform venipuncture and blood draws primarily using straight needles, following all clinical protocols and safety standards.

Verify patient identity and confirm test orders before performing specimen collection.

Document collections and enter information into computer systems accurately and efficiently.

Follow all clinical, laboratory, and facility procedures for specimen handling, storage, and transport.

Adapt quickly to different sites, teams, and workflows while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.

Collaborate with clinical and hospital staff to support patient care and ensure timely specimen collection.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with infection control and safety guidelines.

Participate in weekday shifts that may fluctuate between 7:00 a.m.-Provide weekend coverage on a volunteer basis, with the understanding that weekend work may become mandatory if coverage is needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
