Multimedia Journalist/TV Reporter

At KTVH in Helena, MT, you'll be on the frontlines of journalism – researching, writing, capturing visual content, and editing compelling stories that matter to our community. Receive assignments or evaluate news leads and tips to develop story ideas

Organize material and write stories according to editorial style and format standards

Shoot video and still photos to illustrate stories

Edit videos for all multimedia platforms

Appear on television programs for taped interviews or narration

Give live reports from event sites or mobile broadcast units

Assist news producers in preparing newscasts

Support online staff in preparing multimedia stories

Generally, 3+ years of experience in related field preferred

Computer literacy including newsroom computer systems

Videography and non-linear editing experience

Knowledge of broadcast quality camera equipment

Ability to edit video on Final Cut Pro or similar systems

Strong broadcast and AP style writing skills

Proficiency in posting content to various websites

Live in the center of adventure. Yellowstone and Glacier.

The forest is home to some of the best hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities in the state. Blue ribbon trout fisheries that include the mighty Missouri River and the Little Blackfoot are less than an hour's drive from downtown.
