• Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 9100 W 74TH ST City: SHAWNEE MISSION State: Kansas Postal Code: 66204 Job Description: Assists with the orientation of new employees and assumes unit responsibility when delegated by the nursing manager or director. Performs specialized nursing care in all phases of the peri-operative role. Performs surgical counts per policy and prepares operating room setup. Recognizes abnormal diagnostic laboratory data, blood gas values, radiologic data, and knows the implied significance of each. Recognizes emergency situations and reacts efficiently and appropriately. Computer proficiency required.

Perioperative Nursing required.
Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills required.
Manual dexterity, lifting, pulling, pushing of equipment, heavy instrument sets, and patients required.
Basic RN Nursing skills required.
Fluent in English language, speaking, reading, writing required.
Ability to prepare surgical suites with appropriate instruments, resources, and supplies based on surgeon preference cards required.
Knowledge of instruments, supplies, and equipment utilized for surgical procedures required.
Understanding of the procedures being performed and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon required.
Strong physician/surgeon relationship skills and team mentality required.
Up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory, compliance, and accreditation standards and requirements required.
Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals required.
Associate's of Nursing [Required]
Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
