Duties Description Student Assistants support the mission of CEH by performing a variety of administrative and environmental health functions during New York State’s summer season and beyond. Student Assistant positions assist CEH district office environmental health staff by performing a variety of critical administrative support functions. Positions may also perform environmental health inspection functions in the field for the purposes of ensuring compliance with the New York State Sanitary Code and environmental health regulations.A Student Assistant role provides interested individuals with the ability to gain real world experience in the field of public health through on-the-job training.

Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will be an undergraduate or graduate student interested in exploring a career in public/environmental health. experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other computer programs as needed.

Additional Comments Temporary, seasonal, non-competitive appointment opportunity. Salary determined by academic level. Hours worked and schedule are flexible and dependent upon assignment.
