This position may be a dual position for both the shipping and the receiving departments. Scheduled hours will generally be from 9am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday and 9am - 3:30pm on Saturdays. Occasional Sundays during peak seasons)

Experience on Fork Lift Trucks and/or Order Picker Lift Trucks is a PLUS but not required.

Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery.

Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.

Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.

Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.

records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisors and/or purchasing personnel.

May maintain the department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.

May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area; Follows established departmental policies, and objectives, continuous improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.

Any warehouse/shipping & receiving experience is a plus, but not required (we are open to entry-level candidates with no warehouse experience)

Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.

Ability to receive, track and distribute materials, supplies and equipment.

Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.

Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.

Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
