Paramedic-Full Time-Nights-Emergency*

Patient Transport- Perform skills as established by CCHMC Transport Team policy and procedure and guideline and the State of Ohio Board of EMS. Accept and comply with laws, regulations, rules, policies, and procedures. Operate Emergency Vehicles within applicable laws. The complete scope of practice can be found in Ohio Revised Code Sections 4765.39 (EMT-P) and further defined in Ohio Administrative Code Rules, 4765-17-03 (Paramedic). Patient Care- Provide appropriate patient care during transport and give full report to clinical personnel at receiving facility. Integrate age specific and culturally diverse concepts into patient care, taking into consideration both the patient's age and developmental functioning.

• Assure crew, family, and patients adhere to safety requirements while in a moving vehicle. Report malfunctioning equipment and other environmental hazards immediately. Ensure proper working conditions of patient care and unit equipment.
• Communication- Promote open and timely communication with all members of the health care team, patients, family members and visitors. Reports to nursing staff any change in observable response to patients condition. Participate in improving organizational performance though recommending areas or approaches for improvement activities, performing new procedures, collecting data and providing input to department discussion. Confidentiality- Act in manner that maintains confidentiality, protects and safeguards patient/family personal medical and financial information at all times during collection, use and storage. High school diploma or equivalent
