Security Night Watchman

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Security Officer to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. The Security Officer will be responsible for patrolling the hotel grounds to identify, report, and prevent or deescalate any unusual activity or hazardous discrepancies.

Monitor the fire life safety system with the ability to promptly respond to alarms and assist with evacuations
Have thorough understanding of the hotel's emergency preparedness procedures and catastrophic event response
Experience using video management systems, to view, replay, and archive surveillance footage
Ability to communicate in a clear and articulate manor with guests and colleagues in a variety of platforms
Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Security Officer or Loss Prevention Agent in an upscale or luxury environment
Must obtain a CPR certification, as well as a state issued Private Security Officer License within 30 days of hire date
Knowledge and understanding of state laws and municipal ordinances
Basic computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and any security operation software systems
Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
