Location Harris Regional Hospital

Guide patients, families, and facility staff on all aspects of medical nutrition therapy to create a healthy and healing environment. Build relationships with physicians and nursing to support patient satisfaction and achieve quality care that meets each patient’s nutritional needs.

Responsibilities Registered Dietitian at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC Starting Salary $75,000 (Negotiable based on experience) +$3,000 RD sign-on bonus! Hybrid remote schedule offered! Principal Duties & Responsibilities Nutrition Assessments & Follow-Ups: Complete nutrition assessments and follow-ups for individuals with increased nutritional needs in accordance with facility policies. Document assessment of nutritional goals and/or changes in status in the medical record. Inform nursing and physicians of changes in patient/resident nutritional status. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Clinical Nutrition Manager, Lead Clinical Dietitian, or DFNS.

Patient/Resident Satisfaction: Participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs with culinary and nutrition services. Ensure processes are followed and participate in performance improvements within trouble areas.

Patient Services Program Implementation & Maintenance: Educate staff, nursing, and food service employees on issues regarding special diets or formulas. Customer Service: Proactivity: Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize projects and needs

Requirements Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration and licensed dietitian as required per state regulations

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or related field

Knowledge of regulatory standards

Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software
