Job Description: Transform technology into opportunity as a Systems Engineer with GDIT.
At GDIT you'll be at the forefront of innovation and play a meaningful part in improving how agencies operate.
Key Responsibilities
Plans, designs, and implements various systems by conducting market research and evaluating new technologies.
Interfaces with contractor and government personnel, confers with equipment and software vendors, and directs subordinate personnel to take appropriate courses of action.
Coordinates and implements security operations functions in support of cybersecurity accreditation - risk management framework (RMF) continuous monitoring process.
Maintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in cloud service and relevant application and system technologies.
Writes, edits, and prepares graphical presentations of technical information.
Qualifications
Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI clearance. A TS with SCI eligibility is also acceptable.
10 years or more of progressive experience operating computer systems.
Experience in engineering data center.
Broad experience with virtualized environments and a variety of technologies supporting computing capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to provide an outstanding customer service experience across all organizational levels.
Experience and knowledge of Windows Server, VMware, and related system level applications.
Familiarity with cloud-based services and environments (e.g., MS Azure, AWS, DevOps, Kubernetes, clusters, containers).
Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE. VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications preferred.
Education: BS degree in a technical discipline.
US citizenship required.
Position availability pending contract award in late August / early September 2026 timeframe.
