The Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and monitoring medications to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical therapies for patients in an acute care hospital setting. This role includes verifying medication orders, providing drug information, compounding sterile products, and overseeing the work of pharmacy technicians to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Assist in maintaining the pharmacy inventory, including controlled substances, and ensure proper storage and security.
Document all clinical activities and interventions in the patient medical record.
Assist in the orientation and training of pharmacy technicians and pharmacy students.
Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, medication safety, and regulatory standards.
Proficiency in using pharmacy information systems and medication dispensing software.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy required.

Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
