PurposeCoordinates activities of shipping personnel engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties.Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to insure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.Schedules deliveries with customers.Studies inventory to identify products to ship.Processes incoming and outgoing delivery driver paperwork.Manages multiple drivers and pullers.The employee is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the shipping unit.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education/Experience - High School diploma or equivalent G.Previous experience in shipping department required.Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
