Part Time Substitute

Knoxville Montessori School is an independent, nonprofit Montessori school serving children ages 3 through 18. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, our classrooms foster independence, creativity, and a love of learning in a nurturing environment.

We are seeking reliable, flexible substitute teachers to support our classrooms as needed throughout the school year. Substitutes will step into Montessori environments to assist with daily routines, provide classroom coverage, and ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

Supervise children and ensure their safety at all times.

Support the Montessori environment by maintaining order and assisting students as needed.

High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program preferred.

Experience working with children ages 2-18 years old in an educational or care setting perfered.

Understanding of child development and interest in Montessori philosophy.

Montessori experience a plus, but not required.

Part-time, as-needed position.

Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
