Evening Compounder

We are seeking a temp to hire Ink Technician. You will play a crucial role in our Production department. Your responsibilities will encompass a blend of technical tasks related to mixing of ink and assisting Pre-press in achieving high-quality production.
Pay: $23+ per hour based on experience
Schedule: 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm), Train on 1st (6:00am - 2:00pm)
Location: Trenton, NJ
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare inks according to production schedules and job specifications.
Mix custom inks using formulas from a database and perform color matching for new jobs.
Assist press operators with ink-related issues during production runs
Maintain and clean ink equipment, including scales, pumps, and dispensing systems.
Replenish ink inventory and keep accurate records of ink formulas and usage.
Support press operations through job staging, plate mounting, and quality inspections.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of color theory and ink mixing.
Good mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to distinguish colors accurately (color vision is important).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Prior manufacturing, printing, or packaging experience is often preferred.
