Job Summary: Telemetry Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Nights (Springfield, MO)
The organization is seeking a Telemetry Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a nights assignment in Springfield, Missouri. The role provides direct patient care across the nursing process, coordinating with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights, 1900-0700 (12-hour shifts); minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Current RN License eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri; Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) only; NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) required (may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start); Telemetry Medical Surgical (Med Tele) experience in an inpatient setting
Preferred Qualifications: Experience and competence in drug titration
Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
Responsibilities:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments
Functions within the scope of nursing practice consistent with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and established nursing guidelines
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
Maintains professional accountability for provision and evaluation of patient care
Certifications (as listed): NIHSS may be submitted without but must be obtained prior to start
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Submission Requirements / Additional Notes:

Weekly Guaranteed Hours of 36 or 48 must be indicated on the submission form
All contingency requests must be on the submission form
Blocked scheduling (no specific days) may be approved based on facility requirements and must be listed on the submission form
RTO must be made up on the back end; RTO will not be approved in the first week of assignment
Holiday RTO can request only 1 per assignment
Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; availability the entire week is required
Flu vaccination exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
