Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Unit Information
Facility Location: Miami, FL
Unit: OR RN (701)

Number of Beds: 20 rooms
Staffing: 110 total staff members, including Director, Charge RN, OR Coordinators, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and CRNA's
Day Shift: 18 teams total, including 18 RNs and 18 techs
Night Shift: 2 teams, 1 on-call team based on staffing and volume
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Equipment: Sterile accessories, circulators, sponges, gowning, gloving, tubing, cords, and incision materials
Documentation System: Meditech Experience required
Call Requirements: 2 weekend shifts (8 hours), 4 evening shifts (4 hours), 1 overnight shift (8 hours) per month
Typical Hiring Profile
Must Have:
Current BLS and ACLS certification
At least 2 years of recent experience in an acute hospital setting, not a surgical center
Strong experience in orthopedic, neurological, and robotic surgeries, with willingness to float among various specialties within the OR
Experience with Meditech
Typical Procedures Performed:
Robotic surgeries including Da Vinci systems
Orthopedic procedures utilizing Mako technology
Neurosurgery with Stealth navigation
Burn treatments
Endoscopic, laparoscopic, ENT, and eye procedures
Trauma surgeries for pediatrics and adults
Endovascular hybrid cases involving implants and specimen documentation
Role Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms and arrange necessary equipment
Assist surgeons during operations while maintaining a 30-minute turnaround time
Inspect, maintain, decontaminate, and repair surgical equipment
Keep accurate inventory records and manage pre- and post-surgical tasks, including patient transport and dressing application
Additional Preferences
~ Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work independently

Provided scrubs in Ciel blue; bring your own lock and working shoes.
