The Pharmacy Resident fulfills the requirements of the PGY-1 Residency Program at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. This position provides clinical services, staffing services, and drug information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists as a primary responsibility. The Resident completes a medication use evaluation and a major research project that is presented at a regional residency conference. The Resident assists with the education of pharmacy students from colleges of pharmacy.
The Pharmacy Resident will be a fully integrated team member in the department, as such the Pharmacy Resident will assist in the performance of daily pharmacy tasks including but not limited to: filling orders for medications; monitoring patient medication therapies; supervision of technical staff; imitation and monitoring of drug dosing and drug information consults; Provide clinical services, staffing services, and drug information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists as a primary responsibility.

• Complete a medication use evaluation and a major research project that is presented at a regional residency conference.
• Assist in the performance of daily pharmacy tasks including but not limited to: filling orders for medications; monitoring patient medication therapies; supervision of technical staff; imitation and monitoring of drug dosing and drug information consults.

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm Practice Residency – PGY1 required

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
