We are seeking a Systems Engineer to provide leadership and direction in designing and deploying mission systems for airborne platforms for the US National Security Ecosystem. This is an exceptional opportunity for an engineer with a combination of technical expertise, program leadership experience, and the ability to interface with customers to drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence in a fast-paced, growing organization.ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance and technical leadership in the design, integration, and testing of complex aircraft mission systems with both hardware and softwareElicit, synthesize, and decompose high-level operational requirements into derived subsystem-level requirements; manage traceability throughout the systems lifecyclePerform trade studies to evaluate commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) components against mission capabilities, cost, and schedule constraintsEvaluate design alternatives for impact on cost, scheduleRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (Master’s degree preferred).Security Clearance5+ years of experience designing complex mission systems, including integrated hardware and software mission systemsDemonstrated ability to elicit, synthesize, and decompose requirements with a focus on mission capabilitiesExperience using simulation capabilities to analyze alternate designsExperience developing radiation-hardened components systems is a plusMORSE Corp’s salary range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Depending on role eligibility, total compensation may also include bonus, stock, 401(k) match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year. MORSE maintains an “open” leave policy that does not restrict exempt, regular full-time employees to a specific number of paid sick or vacation days. However, this policy is not an “unlimited” paid leave policy. We focus on steady, long-term success with an emphasis on exceptionalism and delivering mission-critical impact to our customers.
