Job Title: Mass Properties Engineer Location Vandalia, OH

Mass Properties Engineers research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and support cutting edge products & services. These cover a very wide range from state of the art mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll be responsible for developing complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems. Your technical responsibilities involve the design and development, analysis, and test of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Perform detailed mass properties calculations and analyses for aerospace components and systems.
Develop and maintain mass properties models and databases.
Conduct and oversee mass properties testing and validation.
Inventory and weigh aircraft.
Generate aircraft weight and balance paperwork.
Collaborate with design and analysis teams to incorporate mass properties data into project workflows.

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

• Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.

Experience with advanced mass properties analysis software and tools.
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to, parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of flight mechanics.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or US Military.

Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline and typically 2 more years of relevant experience
