Located 15 minutes from Chapel Hill, our property is one of the original Relais & Chateaux destinations in North America since 1980, complete with an award-winning fine-dining restaurant, luxury 32-room inn, spa, boutique shops, a beer and pizza garden, events spaces, and one of the state’s last remaining independent bookstores.

Fearrington Village is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Pizza Cook to join our culinary team at The Roost. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking our wood-fired pizzas while maintaining high standards for quality, consistency, cleanliness, and guest service.

Responsibilities

Prepare pizza dough, sauces, cheeses, toppings, and other ingredients.

Stretch, assemble, and cook pizzas according to established recipes and standards.

Safely operate and maintain the pizza oven and kitchen equipment.

Monitor food quality, portion sizes, cooking times, and presentation.

Keep the pizza station clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.

Assist with prep, opening, closing, and general kitchen duties.

Work collaboratively with the culinary and service teams during busy shifts.

This is a part-time position with hours based on the seasonal operating schedule of The Roost. Fearrington Village is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

Previous pizza, line-cook, or professional kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and around a high-temperature pizza oven.

Dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.

Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
