Duties

Duties include:

The incumbent may work in one or all of the following units: Inpatient wards and Subspecialty Clinic area and reports to the Director, Endocrine Section. In addition, the incumbent may be required to perform General Medicine attending duties on the inpatient wards.

The incumbent must prove successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association approved post- graduate residence in Medicine or equivalent.

The incumbent must be Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Certified (or Board Eligible if within one year of completion of Fellowship) in their specialty.

The incumbent is engaged in direct patient contact or performs tasks defined by statute or recognized custom of medical practice within the bounds of state law as defined by the board of professional licensure.

General Duties: The incumbent will, as defined by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Subspecialty Board of Endocrinology, admit, evaluate, diagnosis, provide treatment or consultative services to patients presenting with endocrine and metabolic diseases.

Upon providing competency and receiving approval, the incumbent may also perform specialty procedures as delineated in their clinical privileges.

The incumbent will take part in continuing medical education ( as defined by licensure), and quality assurance activities.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
