Schedule
Day Shift - 8 hours, Monday through Friday.
Job Description
This position functions as a consultant to all staff and patients in the areas of skin prevention, wounds, ostomies, and continence needs.
Responsibilities
Consult with healthcare team members regarding patient skin care needs.
Provide education and support to patients and staff about wound care and ostomy management.
Ensure effective communication among patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
Share knowledge and skills to improve team functionality regarding skin and wound care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
High school diploma or equivalent; completed registered nurse degree program required.
Minimum of 3 years full-time professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
Board certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing.
Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
