Pediatric Anesthesiologist - Full-Time

Navicent is seeking a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join their team in Macon, GA. The practice provides a full array of anesthesia services for Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center, a nationally recognized premier teaching hospital. Practice Info Practice offers a full array of anesthesia services for Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center. The facility is the second-largest hospital in Georgia, with 637 licensed beds for medical surgical, cardiac surgery, trauma treatment, and pediatrics. The facility has a Level I Trauma Center; a children's hospital built in 2019; 34 operating rooms and several ancillary suites; and a stand-alone outpatient facility. The practice consists of 16 anesthesiologists and 58 anesthetists, including CRNAs and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs), who all work together in a care team model. Responsibilities Case assignments: General surgery, cardiac, pediatrics, OB and GYN services, ortho, trauma, plastics, ENT, urology, and neurosurgery. Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department. Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Pre-anesthesia assessment. Obtains and/or verifies patient consent. Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and performance of clinical intervention as needed. Shift & Schedule 4:1 ratio Monday thru Friday 0700 until the cases are done (usually between 1500-1700 but could run longer). Call from when the cases are done until 0700 next day Monday thru Friday. 24 hour beeper call on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Schedule is flexible and will be determined with other providers but no more than three weeks a month. Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX.
