The RN Nurse Trainer plays a vital role in supporting the medical, health, and safety needs of clients living in host family settings. This role includes direct training of staff, oversight of medication practices, and being a clinical resource for non-licensed caregivers.
Monitor and document client-specific medical needs, including bubble packs, orders, and MARs.
Conduct field visits to ensure proper medication handling and regulatory compliance.
Provide clinical guidance and respond to medical questions via phone/email as needed.
Serve as a support system to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.
Must have current unencumbered Illinois professional nurse license.

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience , with at least 1 year working with individuals with developmental disabilities (Preferred)
• Must be able to obtain a DHS Nurse Trainer Certificate within 90 days of hire
• RN license number
• If Licensed Practical Nurse must also be a Registered Professional Nurse.
