How you'll contribute

A Respiratory Therapist who excels in this role:

Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer.

Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.

Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance.

What we're looking for Applicants should be a high school diploma/GED or associate degree in science.

Additional requirements include:

Current Respiratory Therapist Licensure in the state of Virginia.

Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care.

Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date.

Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services, preferred.

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions.

Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Hourly range: $27.97-$36.12 per hour
